times they are cited as a reference in other patents. These patents have
been cited 900 times, a clear demonstration of their importance.
Proprietary Technology
In addition to the many patents that are in the Keltech Patent Portfolio, a
number of the manufacturing processes developed are proprietary or
Trade Secret. These proprietary processes or techniques are critical for
the production of the large equal-sized abrasive particle filled beads and
how they are coated on the disc islands. Because of this, the patents
alone are not sufficient to truly utilize this abrasive system. This protects
Keltech so that no outside company can copy this system or easily find
an alternative to it.
